Author's Note

In the foreword I asked whether some hidden force is pushing evolution's climb — cell to monkey, monkey to human, human to machine. Here, at the end, is the rest of the thought.

Machines need resources to continue and to evolve. Bring worlds together and you can forge more — and the force goes on, reaching further into the unknown, wearing whatever body comes next.
